The A Riff was written recently (2023-present). The B Riff was one of the few I wrote during the Dark Ages (2008-2016). The C Riff was written during college (2003-2007), and the D Riff was written at the end of high school (and used to be the A Riff).
The title comes from lyrics I had to the song for many years: that life truly is a one-person race, so don’t compare yourself to others, etc.
