Solo Acoustic Version

About

TC wrote this song in high school (1999-2003) using advice from his music teacher: “If you stick to the black keys on a piano, anything you write will sound good.” The main riff is a bouncy, major pentatonic ditty that reminds TC of a children’s song, hence the title. Part C was written during the Clerkship Era (2017-2018) of bridge-building, while Part D was also written during high school and features a key change from D to G.

TC actually used to try to sing the main riff as a vocal melody. TC apologizes to all in attendance during those “performances.”
